Cindy, Cessy, and Yisel are busy getting ready for the upcoming 100th day of school? Are you also on the same calendar schedule?
This is the assignment sheet that we will send home in the coming days. Feel free to grab yourself a copy by clicking the link below. It includes a space for you to write in your own due date, just in case it's few days off fro ours.

Here's to a successful 100th day celebration for all! We'll be posting highlights from our day. Looking forward to what you all have planned!
Moving forward and onward. Thank you to What The Teacher Wants for posting this morning message at such a critical point in our society. We adults must set the example.
What I treasure about our teacher's Winter Break is the time it allows for pause in our lives. A teacher's schedule is fast-paced, demanding, and can be down right exhausting. Many things in our lives get dropped, and this includes many things in our personal lives. For me, it's my home organization, family hoilday cards, personal fitness, etc. Yes, it's true. We can't do everything, all the time (although we certainly give it a good try).
Well, this time off has reinvigorated us and inspired us to do better by being better! One thing I am starting is a reflection journal. I know, I know.... I'm not much of a journaling person (ugh), so I never jumped on the Oprah Winfrey ban wagon (and I love Oprah). Honestly, I thought the whole thing was kind of cheesy. I think that prior to this point in my life I was just too crazy busy with babies and toddlers (I have three children- ages 7, 10, 13). I was ALWAYS doing something for them- making their bed, changing diapers, fixing meals, cleaning up after them, laundry, packing lunches, organizing clothes, helping with homework projects,....well, the list was endless! But now, the little guy heats up his own waffles, the middle boy throws out the trash, and the teen folds her own clothes. Yay!!!! I have finally entered the stage in my life where I have a moment or two to reflect. And I found the perfect journal to help me with this...
Another big thing that we are getting ourselves into in 2017 is running the Los Angeles Marathon! There I said it. This is huge for us!!! It might actually be too big for me, but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm no spring chicken, I recognize this. I am turning 43 this year people!!! And I certainly could not be this insane on my own. I am thankful to 2 fellow teachers that are my inspiration and are pushing me towards this great goal- Cindy & Maria. The sisterhood that has developed amongst us is a magnificent thing and I am thankful for it. Many hours of running together allows for many hours of theraputic chit chat. And I must report that my body is LOVING this marathon regimen that I am on. I am feeling great! I am sleeping great! If this is how marathon training makes you feel, then sign me up. Go Chupacabras!
My teenage daughter and I have also started doing yoga together. I am grateful for the time we are spending together during this introspective class. I am grateful that my daughter respects her body and has the mindset that allows her to focus on her breath and meditation. I am thankful for this opportunity with my daughter.
I also have super exciting news from Cessy's tribe. Cessy is expecting her third child!!!. Cindy and I couldn't be any happier for her and her family. It is a blessed time for her and we are grateful for it.
Kinder League is our pet business project. It continues to grow slowly. We look forward to wrapping up the teacher conference season with a couple more events this school year. Our next conference is scheduled for February 24-25 at Southern California Kindergarten Conference in Pasadena, CA. Hope to see you there! Follow us on IG.
