Check out Cindy's lesson on making teen numbers. These two lessons were done over 2 days. Her class has been doing a lot of work with 10 frames, so her students are familiar with using them. They also have experience with paper clip spinners. Have tried these inexpensive spinners,...if not, you should! All you need is a paper clip and a pencil. They work great for homework assignments.

The following day Cindy used this spinner game on her Smart Board as a review opportunity. Students took turns spinning for a teen number and filling in the ten frames to match and finally they completed the number sentence below. They LOVED it! The lesson continued for homework with a 10 frame fill-in activity that same evening. This Teen Number lesson was a win-win for Cindy and her students!
